Below are the status updates for our search for future YouTube Guest hosts.
- 4/1/2022 – Emails Went Out to the “Top 15” Applicants – We sent emails out to the top 15 most amazing submissions we got! Those on “The Top 15” will remain on our list of potential future guest hosts and we will reach out to you when we have a spot for you in an upcoming episode. Be patient, it could be a decent wait as we’ll start with only a few of you. As those hosts drop off, have other obligations, or we just want to feature some new dogs, then we’ll start going down the list and reaching out to Guest Hosts individually!
- 3/29/2022 – Reviewing Interest Videos. – We’ve begun reviewing the submitted intro videos, attaching them to their associated interest cards, and making decisions. If you submitted an intro video, but have not heard anything back yet, then you’re still being considered! We’re also realizing that many of the people who we may be declining to move forward with on this round, could be a perfect fit in the months to come as things develop on our end (just not right now). We are holding onto those interest cards and may reach out to previously declined bidders if they become a good fit later on!
- 3/27/2022 – Deadline for Submitting Intro Videos.
- 3/18/2022 – Introduction videos requested. – Emails went out today (check your spam folders) requesting a short introduction video from those bidding for the contract spots who we thought would be the best fit. If you did not receive this email, then we may have either decided not to move forward with you OR we’ve kept your interest card for the future. Some interest cards we got were from people who sounded perfect for future projects we planned but not necessarily for this initial set of guest hosts. So if you didn’t hear from us, you may still in the future! Introduction videos are due to be submitted 3/27/2022.
- 3/15/2022 – Reviewing applicants. – We’ve received far more applications for Doberman Planet guest hosts than we expected! It’s taking a long time for us to process all the interest cards that were submitted to us. Please continue to be patient. We anticipate at least a few more weeks before we get through all the interest cards we received and reach out to those who we are interested in speaking further with.

- 2/4/2022 – YouTube Guest Host Contract Position opened.
